Worse Than I Could Have Imagined

I am still in shock. Yesterday I was given the news that my computer is not just temporarily down, it’s- down. Dead. Need a new one.

The BIOS/CMOS damage is done in a bad, unstoppable cycle. Can’t fix the BIOX because the CMOS is damaged, and can’t fix the CMOS because the BIOS is broke. Anyway, no way to flash a new BIOS in.  It the BIOS/CMOS is busted. Broke.

And they don’t make the 939 pin motherboards anymore.  Yay. Which also means I need a new cpu, since it’s a 939 pin cpu. And the RAM dimms i have were basically made for a 939 pin motherboard. 

So, because I need new mobo, new cpu, new RAM, I am looking at an expenditure of at LEAST $400.  And Rudy told me, with actual sadness, “Babe, I love you, but we can’t afford $400.”

So right now I have the broken comp with 2 SATA drives I can’t use but are both packed with 223 gigs of WONDERFUL software, and this approx 6 yr. old compaq all-in-one, 512 megs ram and 64 untouchable in system video ram. 

I am in- shock still. And terrible depression.

p.s. rudy has been so sick he hasn’t been able to pursue refinancing, and we HAVE to have the house refinanced by the end of the month, but he won’t let me help on it. we are possible fucked in so many ways i just don’t know what to do.

This Is Being Written On My PS3

And it is being “typed” using the ‘virtual keyboard’- that is, I am using the PS3 controller to move the cursor around the on-screen keyboard and press the ‘X’ button every time it is over the letter I want. That last sentence took several minutes to type out in this fashion, and I am pretty fast at typing like this. Except when I had to go back and fix a typo about a sentence back and it took forever to go back, one letter at a time, fix, then come back. Good lord, if I HAD to type like this for any length of time I WOULD go MUCH crazier than I already am! My son has been reading along with me as I type, and doing his best to try and guess what word I am trying to use as I use it. He’s not actually doing a very good job of it though

Man, that is enough of that, though. Time to end this HORRIFYING experiment and NEVER do it again! After all, I CAN plug in any USB keyboard and type normally. And while my USB keyboard is one of those waterproof, roll-up keyboards, it does work.

I think my favoritest hamster has gone through hamster menopause. She doesn’t get stinky like female hamsters do when they go into heat. A hamsters lifespan is about 2 years on average. And really though, she shouldn’t be having this happen- she SHOULD be only like 8 months old. If they weren’t lying where I got her- she was a donated hamster and I got her and her cage and some stuff for her all free. They SAID she was 4 months old.So I dunno. She may be fine. But she’s starting to get that “feel” (a physical feel when I hold her, etc) of age about her.I’ll keep you all posted.Like you care Anne

Even More Hell

Well, no one reads this blog, but I have to go back to the e.r. because my cellulitis is getting worse. And, like a dumb cunt, I didn’t go to see my primary care doctor because it seemed to be doing better… until about 6 this evening.

So, I may be staying in the hospital for a few days. Well, fuck.
